Radiographic Diagnosis of Osteo-onychodysostosis in Infancy
Abstract
Posterior iliac horns are pathognomonic of osteo-onychodysostosis (formerly called the nail-patella syndrome). Typical lesions were demonstrated radiographically in 4 infants with this disorder during the first two months of life. Radiographic study of the pelvis will permit an early diagnosis of this syndrome, since iliac horns are demonstrable at birth, as opposed to some of the other features of the syndrome which may not be apparent until later in life.
