“Milk of Calcium” and Food Signs in Radiology
Editor: In the article by Roche et al (,1) in the November-December 2002 issue of RadioGraphics, with the exception of egg dishes, the dairy group was omitted from the list of food signs. Thus, “milk of calcium,” which may be seen in organs such as the breast and kidneys with multiple modalities including mammography, conventional radiography, and computed tomography, was not listed. I’m sure other readers can add to this list.
